Where will you be my darling? Where will you be when the dark is rising?

So yeah... I'm back in Johor! My last few days in KL and the weekend... hmmm... well, read on.
My mom drove me to 1 Utama while she went to a wedding dinner with my sister. Aye, I haven't been to 1 Utama since I was much younger, so I took a look. And my... what an experience. Mid Valley Mega Mall is huge, walking from north court to the south court gives your legs a decent work out. Aeon Tebrau City is just big but very plain. 1 Utama however... its like a freaking maze. Originally one building, they bought a plot of land right beside them and opened up a second building. So, not thinking it'd be so confusing, I happily went in and just looked around, thinking to buy three things: games for my Playstation, a book or two, and a major meal (was hungry, can't help it).
So I found a place selling Playstation games, but thought, since I've still got hours at hand, why not roam around a bit more? Then I saw MPH, and thought about buying a book but thought I'd pass, since I still didn't roam much of the mall yet. I was hungry while walking so much, and thought about eating but thought about saving that for the last thing, 'cause there's restaurants aplenty and I didn't need to worry. Problem was... with every step I took, it kept leading me to a new place. I didn't see the same shops twice for hours, and was a little worried I couldn't find my stuff. So being an idiot, I wasted more time by using a public computer for internet access. Chatted with Yu En and Isabel before going off to explore more of this freaking labyrinth.
I finally found MPH again and quickly bought two books, Angels and Demons (superb book), and Everything's Eventual, a collection of 14 short stories by Stephen King. I know he's famous for his horror books but his sense of humor is hilarious. So yeah, I went around looking for the game shop that sold PS games, but I couldn't find it! Zzz, so since I couldn't find it, I just went exploring more, getting lost more and more until I accidentally found the game shop... closed. Freak.
Since I had nothing to do, and the mall was closing soon, I went and looked for some places to eat. There were only expensive restaurants and fast food... which was a little predicament. I didn't want to waste money eating by myself, but I didn't come up to KL just to eat Mac either -.-. So I walked around and I was getting more worried as more restaurants were closing. Finally I found a Carl's Jr located somewhere near... uh, I'm not sure actually. But at least I found a place to eat.. not as common as Mac, but cheaper than restaurants.
I ate my meal and enjoyed myself. The service there is brilliant though. After eating I was drinking and reading Everything's Eventual, then one of the guys offered to refill my drink. When the mall was closed and I was the last person in Carl's Jr (reading... whoops) they didn't tell me to go out, but that guy still refilled my drinks all the way while I was still reading. His attitude was nice, and he had a friendly charm... brilliant staff member. When I went off, I wanted to get a last refill, but all the machines were off. He painstakingly turned back all the switches and still refilled it even though I didn't wanna trouble him once I found out it was off. Then he also waved a bye, along with the rest of the staff. Impressive.
Well, the last time I went there was at least 8 years ago. Now it's much bigger than I could've ever anticipated. The guards carry shotguns (no kidding) and there's some kinda trolley ride, where this really bored looking guy drives a mini train carrying screaming kids in the back. Haha!
Last Friday I also drove back to JB with my mom and sister. Didn't speed like last time... only went 140km/h max =/. Next day went for cellgroup and service. Feels good yet strange to be back in Singapore. So while I was going to Isabel's place for cellgroup, it was really hot so I took off my jacket. I had brought along Angels and Demons (the book, not real angels and demons!) to read because it's really interesting, and the twists are brilliant. So it's like, there's a sleeveless guy with a jacket over his shoulder, looks like a gangster, with chains and necklaces, reading a book while crossing the street. Unbelievable number of people staring as though it was an anomaly. Geez. The cellgroup meeting was good... at the end Michelle moved in the spirit and there was slaying in the spirit and holy laughter. Service later was also very good, as Pastor Kong shared about the church vision and the statistics. We're aiming to raise $22 000 000 in this Arise and Build. We aimed for 15.5 million two years ago an raised 17 plus million. We aimed to raise 17 million last year and ended up raising 20-something million. This time? Let's find out...
Went for fellowship later at Dhoby Ghaut with N337. Was great to catch up with them, even though I've only been gone for two weeks... but hey, great fellowship I had anyway. The E458 helpers and Michelle pigged out at Pastamania and Hong Kong Cafe eating, eating and eating, before we went back. I stayed over in Jonathan's place 'cause it was too late. Oh well, at least I got to pick up the PS2!
