Where will you be my darling? Where will you be when the dark is rising?

Just came back from the opening night of Emerge KL 2008!
Anyhoo... lemme backtrack a bit to last week's service. During the preaching, Pastor Kevin had asked us who our favourite singer was. I was sitting at the 3rd row from the front, dead centre. So since I expected a lot of other people to yell, I yelled first, to make sure that my girl would be heard. "JOLIN!" Seems that I was the first (and only, at the moment) to yell. Then he pointed at me and said "There's a guy here that likes Jolin!" And for some reason, I realized in my area I was the only male -.-, everyone within a 2 foot radius around me was a female. Geez! Made it damn obvious it's me -.-. Lol. After service Esther (his wife) told him that I was the guy from CHC SG. He said something like yeah I recognized him, the one who said Jolin.
And that my friends... is why I said Pastor Kevin knows me as the "Jolin Guy."
Oh yeah... I was also featured on the video announcements. Sort of. It was a clip of my team holding our silver medals =p.
Anyway, today was the opening night of Emerge! And guess what? I was LATE! Geez! Blame my sis -.-... she took her own sweet time putting on makeup and by that time rush hour started already. Thanks to a really huge jam, we missed the opening ceremony. My first time ever missing an Emerge opening. Pfft. Anyway, it was a great blessing though. The starting was a bit... dry on the spiritual atmosphere, but over time it got better and better. Liu Geng Hong (I spelled that right, right?) and Danny One also performed. And of course, the highlight of the night... POS! Well... what can I say? My cluster, VU, was probably more focused on dances, steps and their movements, but there wasn't much stunts. They had a kung fu theme too -.-. LU was very similar to VU, as in they had a kungfu theme too, and they had more focus on dance steps and movements. For SMU, guess what? They were quite similar to Singapore's SMU. They wore masks and stomped the ground a lot too, just like Singapore's SMU. They're was mostly modern dancing and hard, strong steps and moves, plus a few notable stunts. But the best was probably MINT, they had a lot of great dance, good music and their stunts were the best! There were two particular ones that were unbelievable, and they set the standard really, really high. Very impressive.
And Cindy, I hope you heard me =p.
Preaching was a bit short, but it was very revelational. I could finally hear Pastor Kong preach after 3 months! I've got no problem with Pastor Kevin, but it's nice to hear your main church's pastor preach. He preached about the revelation of who God is to us at different points in our lives. Brilliant message that really made me realize who Jesus is to me, and who He should be in my life, more than just Saviour, Redeemer and Deliverer. But my Lord, my personal God, Yahweh.
It started at 7pm. It ended at 11:30pm. Yikes! The last time I had such a long service was Benny Hinn's healing crusade. And that was 5 hours. Oh well... I don't mind. It was great! I'm expecting it to get better too.
