Where will you be my darling? Where will you be when the dark is rising?

My first time having internet access in Johor Bashru for a really, really long time. It's coming up to almost a year that I've since moved to Kuala Lumpur. Heh. Well, I'll be leaving here on the 19th or 20th, and back up to KL again.
So how was my journey down? Like I said, whenever I go down, something eventful always happens. So what happened this time round? The gas tank exploded. No kidding. Ruz and I got onboard a Plusliner bus and after a while realized that there were only 5 passengers! Heck, we obviously abused the large amount of space we had, and after a while we heard a loud sound and a slight jerk on the bus. It didn't seem like a big deal, until the bus stopped suddenly later.
Turns out that the gas tank had exploded, which was the source of the loud bang earlier.
Here's the bus broken down in the middle of those "split zones" when there's an exit from the highway.
And here's the leak from the explosion! It may not look like much, but underneath it was way more soaked. And you can roughly see a dark trail of gasoline thanks to the tyre wheels. That dark line stretched for miles!
You know how some inconsiderate people flick out cigarettes out their car window when driving? I was wondering what would happen if some moron did that while we were stuck.
We got onboard the next Plusliner bus, which was, unfortunately, quite packed. Reached JB, and my dad picked us up from Kip Mart. My room was exactly as I left it when I left, and my aircon is finally working again (the batteries for the remote were dead last time).
Anyhoo, on Friday Ruz and I went to church for the Easter service. For the drama, it was titled The Final Solution. It's about a guy called Dr Silas, a friend of Luke's, who creates a formula (called the Final Solution) that actually alters your DNA so that you won't sin anymore. Its administered to prisoners everywhere and he's hailed as a medical hero. People start to compare Jesus and Silas' miracles, and Silas ends up injecting his own daughter, a troublesome girl, with the formula. Later on, it turns out the formula isn't all its hyped up to be. People administered with the Final Solution start falling ill and die.
Silas also ends up killing his wife's murderer, even though he was told to administer the Final Solution to the guy. After doubting in Jesus, the two meet in prison and he ends up believing. There's also a very interesting storyline twist where Silas' real name is Silas Barabbas, thereby fitting him with the biblical account of Pilate releasing one prisoner. Very smart! And as per tradition, there's the crucifixion of Jesus with This Is Your Saviour as the main theme. And of course, the resurrection at the end. Interestingly though, this year, they didn't show the ascension into heaven. Instead, the lights slowly faded as Jesus gave the Great Commission.
I liked the drama a lot. How they took certain liberties with minor parts of the Easter story yet mixed it in well with the biblical chronology. Very smart and impressive in terms of storyline! I'd say it was comparable to 2006's version, which is still my favourite. I realize that in-drama songs are also being cut down compared to last time. Oh well.
Had fellowship with the cellgroup at some place in Bedok. Went to Koh Wee's place after to spend the night! Next day Yao Qi joined along for a movie. The Shinjuku Incident. Great movie! Just ouch for Jie... you seriously gotta pity him -.-.
Anyhoo, later on Ruz and I went to Bugis to meet up with the cellgroup and join some other ex-GT people to support Michelle and Rezound, who were singing in a pub, called All About Eve. A Chivas bottle only costs $108! Dirt CHEAP! The pub was bloody small though, but I was impressed with the live performances by all the different bands and singers. Enjoying so much Chivas (I drank the most, as usual) was also very enjoyable, and I had a good chat with Desmond, who I haven't seen in years.
All About Eve, along with many other pubs, is in a shady alleyway with quite a lot of life. This signboard was there. Cute!
And some guy spray painted a pillar with Mas Selamat's face. Read the words on his forehead. There's tons of grafitti and vandalism in the alleyway.
There's me with Karnex. He's such a bad drinker =p.
Ruz and I stayed over at Ashley's place, and the next day ate at his dad's stall in Khatib. Ruz and I headed to Causeway Point to check out the arcade (where he got whooped in air hockey) and to explore a bit. I met Yao Yang, Sylvia Mok and Fiona too. Been ages.
After a trip back home, we watched a few movies and went to sleep. He just went back today. I've still got a week to enjoy. Let's see... what did I plan to do this time round?
Go out with the Magic gang Go club Go to Saint Andrews Cathedral Go out with Ms Koeh! Meet up Adrian, Zhe Ming and Alvin Lim, my secondary school classmates Meet up with Chia Sheng, my brother, who called me when I was half asleep
I wanted to meet up with Tiffany, but she seems pissed at me, or maybe I caught her at a bad time. Either that, or she's not interested in meeting up. Eh, oh well then.
