Where will you be my darling? Where will you be when the dark is rising?

I'm tired. As I'm taking a total of two weeks off from the 22nd, I need to finish a lot of my work before I take such a long absence from work. But considering all the amounts of work I've already done, I'd like to say I deserve it.
A few colleagues of mine have set up a gaming circle in the office. There's Daryl (who I've played Left4Dead 2 with 2 of his friends before), Ming Han, Charlene, Pik Lin, Alex and Celine. We've played Borderlands 2 so far over Steam, and it's been pretty fun. I'm glad I got my new laptop too, 'cause it can handle all othe games. We plan to play Left4Dead 2 and some other games in the future, but it's pretty cool so far.
Earlier this month, we celebrated Daanish's birthday. Asri's son is one year old already. Amazing, seriously, how time flies. Justin helped shop on behalf of Symposium, and we got him a little drum set! Adorable! Zzz!
Anyhoo, I went for APOSL's double blind coffee survey which was a fun little thing we did to see if we could taste the difference between typical kopitiam coffees and premium and home brands. A bit of chatter here and there, with a presentation on dark energy by Afiq. The results of the coffee survey were quite interesting. Premium coffees consistently rated lower than the kopitiam coffees with home brands a high medium. Also, while I was there, someone asked me "Hey, are you the bassist of Ataraxique?" I was like hell yeah! Somebody I don't know recognizes me! HA! Well, I thought way too highly of myself, lol. This fellow was Hari Shankar, a cousin of Pip, my vocalist. We talked quite a bit and it was good to chat with someone I had, to a certain extent, more familiarity with. Pepper's a fellow musician with Hari in an orchestra. Small world!
A few days later Justin was hospitalized due to sciatica, so Andrew, Redzuan and I paid him an early visit before heading off to watch the third Hobbit movie. The Elven king is just so "fabulous", lmao. It was pretty good action-wise, although I've forgotten a lot of the details from the books, since the last time I read it was when I was still in Canada.
