Ok, Happy New Year! Over a week late, but eh, forgive me please. I've been busy... drinking non-stop. Lol.
Well, one thing I forgot to note in early-mid December was going to Escape Room and Jogoya with Rachel, her boyfriend from the US, Ross, and Ming Han. We played the vampire room. And we won! I'm lay to describe the details. Let's just say you need smart people to win. And luckily I was with a group of smart people. One part needed a piano though, so thank Rachel for her perfect pitch.
I went to Big Bad Wolf at The Mines in early December, at 3am, so I could avoid the crowd. Even then there were still over a hundred people as crazy as me there. It was my first time and I only wanted to get a few books. Because of the insane prices, I ended up leaving with 14. Zzz. Alone walking around and I still only went back at 6am. As of now I haven't touched them yet, with the exception of the design books which I've placed in the office.
Oh, before I took the last 2 weeks off in December, JobsCentral's marketing team (with Ross) went to Malacca for our own little trip, as well as to bring the Korean interns around. Ariel had left already, so only Kevin and Effy joined us, along with two other Korean friends, Rosa and Soo who worked in other companies. We went to the historical A Famosa, walked around to a church behind it, and basically trekked pretty freaking far. We were bloody tired and had a sumptuous dinner. At night, most people KOed to bed straight away, but a few of us stayed up to drink. Kevin, Ming Han, Rosa, Soo, Ross and I played I Have Never with some beer we bought. Hilarious, fun times! There was one time, when the girls were getting something, so there was only the guys there. Ming Han said "I have never been to prison." LMAO. As if that was his impression of us! Gee, thanks! It was a short session because we didn't have a lot of beer, but it was really fun. The next day after having our lunch, we bid farewell to the Koreans who were staying one more night before their departure.
I went to Johor Bahru for a week after the Malacca trip to visit my dad for the Christmas season. I drank every single day. Ugh. After the trip I was scared of alcohol. For a few hours at least. Visited his friends, attended one of his his friend's sons weddings, had to drive him home when he was overly drunk one night, and lots of pool. Apparently I play very well when I'm drunk. I was like superb, and beat several of the skilled adults.
For the New Year's Countdown we went to Justin's unfinished tattoo shop, called Symposium Tattoos. The countdown was perhaps the most bland in my life. Some of the guys were still helping Justin set up some of the furniture and stuff, so at the stroke of midnight 3 of us were like "Happy New Year! Okay, that was dull." Hm, yeah. Around 12:30am the drinking really started to pick up and we were downing cups after cups, exchanging stories and all. I forgot who brought it up, but the topic of the burden of proof and the Jesus Myth hypothesis cropped up, and we were discussing and chatting until someone said that the sun had risen. Holy crap. It was 8am.
